Paradontosis
Paradontosis is the illness of the tissues holding the teeth. Such illnesses can have rather uncomfortable symptoms being responsible for several kinds of problems from light haemorrhage to loosening of the teeth.
Paradontosis is mostly caused by the simply removable dental plaque, and in all cases improper hygiene of the mouth. Moreover, paradontosis may also be a symptom of some serious illnesses.
The lightest sort of paradontosis is gingivitis, when the gum is inflamed, swollen, and bleeding when brushing the teeth. Unfortunately, gingivitis usually does not stop at this stage, but, similarly to inflammation on other parts of the body, if not treated, spreads along. Paradontosis already leads to loosening and loss of teeth.
Paradontosis is insidious as most of the people think “my teeth bleed slightly when brushing them, next time I won’t push the brush so hard”. However, this is a totally incorrect attitude as the illness of the gum will not disappear from not pushing the brush so hard, as the dental plaque mostly causing this illness will not come off the teeth of itself. Paradontosis cannot be stopped without the help of a dentist.
Ulatrophia sometimes occurs due to improper tooth-brushing habits. In this case the gum leaves the most sensitive tooth-neck free, which results in great pain. The inflammation of the gum may be accompanied by another, more serious illness. Neglecting paradontosis results in much more serious problems in all cases.
