Implantations are known in all fields of medication, the speciality of dental implantations is the infinite precision due to their dimensions, the aesthetics due to their location, and the care and accuracy applied during the implantation process.

Implants are put in when the patient has edentia, be it single, multiple or total lack of teeth. Implants have gained their quality, material, ease of handling due to several decades of development, serving the best results for the patients to have.

Most of the implants are made of titanium, as this is a bio-material, that is the organism will not reject it as it assimilates among tissues. It makes it avoidable to have the first operation followed by others, or to have the total of the implantation useless, as the body tries to get rid of foreign materials by any means (and followed by insufferable pain) after a few weeks. When replacing several teeth, if the application of the traditional bridge is dismissed by either the doctor or the patient, implants are still applicable. The implantation process is carried out in several stages in this case as well, however, the patient will not have an implant inserted for each lost teeth, but one (or two) implants are to form basis for a bridge consisting of several sections, which will replace the missing teeth extracted or fallen out next to each other and therefore forming a greater gap.

A total row of teeth may have to be – or may be, for request – replaced by an implant. In case of total dentures the treatment is done by using certain types of artificial dentures, however, for an aesthetic or other cause the patient may choose the application of implants. In such cases two or four implants are inserted in the bone, which will have a special structure on it, and the artificial denture itself will be placed on this structure. Dentures placed on implants replacing a total row of teeth are perfectly aesthetic, and it has the same (or even better) functionality from any aspect as the original (it is the same in everything, except for the fact that it will never become decayed, that is it is everlasting and perfect).
